Lucky Magazine
Boudewijn towel featured in Lucky Magazine! Our dear friend, Amy, writes: I’ve been thinking about warmer weather since December. These lightweight linen beach towels
are amazing—sand won’t get stuck in them, and they come in really fun
colors and prints. Mine is draped over my couch as a reminder that it
won’t be long til summer’s here.
Poppies: Sent by a Secret Admirer to Deck Towel
A secret admirer sent these poppies to our studio today. Whoever they are, they know the brand pretty well – the perfect match for the Boudewijn or Daan towels.
New Stockist: Standard Goods, Los Angeles
After much anticipation, Standard Goods, is now open on Beverley Boulevard. This “dapper new general store” from Band of Outsiders alum Garrett Colton stocks a variety of wholesome, well-made goods. The Boudewijn and Norbert towels are in stock and in good company!

We’re going to hazard a guess and predict that you’ll find yourself on a beach at some point in the next few months. And once you’re there, you’re going to need a beach towel of some sort to sprawl out upon while you contemplate life’s mysteries and work on your tan.
In which case, we believe we can be of some assistance.
Deck Towel makes some of the better beach towels we’ve seen, thanks to tropical color schemes and soft linens light enough to be folded into a tote bag. And since they’re lighter than the cotton equivalent, they’ll pick up a lot less sand when you pack them back up.
Now, to find an umbrella.

Turns out that working with
a bunch of style obsessives and discerning tech-geeks has its perks. We
asked, they delivered: From the coolest set of wheels on the market to a
flat-screen slimmer than an iPhone, it’s everything a man could want.

Deck Towel Linen Beach Blankets
The problem with beach towels is that even the best of them turn into a
rank, sand-filled mess after a day at the beach. That’s why we dig this
linen version from Deck Towel. Sewn from durable, colorful fabric that
could’ve been swiped from a French girl in Biarritz, they’re light,
quick to dry, and odor-resistant. The other draw? Should a bikinied
stranger need a place to rest her feet, these are plenty big enough for
two.

Deck Towel
What:
Handmade Italian linens are big enough for a full
spread-eagle sprawl. Pick from faded stripes or saturated solids
evocative of the lazy summer we plan to have.
Why:
It might be Buck (recent Columbia grad who makes them) or the thought of
an evening spent listening to cicadas, but there’s just something
romantic about soft linen and warm months.

Beach blankets hardly need be a luxury. With that said, I’d still rather not show up to the beach or park and lay out some tragic old holey thing found at the back of my closet. That’s why I’m into these linen deck towels from designer Buck Ellison. They’re simple and chic, thin enough to fit in a beach bag, but also can be worn as a makeshift sarong should your bag be stuffed to the brim.

I’d even like one slung over a chair when not in use outdoors. They go for about $40 to $100, depending on size and color, and can be easily machine-washed after a rowdy day at the park. Pick one up for your weekend at General Store or Gravel and Gold in San Francisco, or find them online here.
