Happy Fourth of July!
Can it just be summer already? We’re keeping these photos on our wall to keep us warm during this frosty winter. While we wait impatiently for the weather to change, our Theo towel (pictured) is currently functioning as a tablecloth to remind us of of balmier times.
Deck Towel in action
When you want to set the mood for an ocean-centric read, find a view and put your Theo towel to good use!
Sea Breeze
The Hugo Towel was featured in a summer editorial on HighSnobiety called Sea Breeze, cleverly worn as a scarf!
Wendell in St. Barthes
Thank you to Matt Baron for this photograph of his girlfriend, Wendell, vacationing in St. Barthes with her Kees towel. If this photo is any indication, Wendell has pretty much nailed it every day of her.
New Stockist: General Store
General Store was our very first stockist. Located in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset, the shop caters to brave cold-water surfers and their admirers. General Store is a collaborative entity created by Serena Mitnik-Miller (formerly a head buyer at Mollusk)
and Mason St. Peter which features carefully curated items from both new
and vintage sources. Local artisans and craftspeople contribute to the
mix of furniture, clothing, tools, plants, household items, books,
jewelry, cards and small electronics, a little bit of everything useful.
Designed with function in mind, Deck Towels do double duty as a light weight, highly absorbent quick to emit compact and hygiene friendly linen alternative to the traditional cotton towel.
3191 Miles Apart
Gilles towel featured as a summer essential on 3191 Miles Apart! Nice to see a fellow heavy-water-drinker coming forward.
My Summer Essentials: pretty much stays the same every year.
Let’s start with what you would find in my bag …
~ a linen towel (Never know when you might swim or sit on damp grass with a cool drink.)
~ a water bottle (If you think I drink tons of water in other seasons summer has me drinking like a mad woman.)
~ sunscreen (I’m a real stickler for SPF 30.)
~ sunglasses (Always.)
~ a little camera (Always.)
~ a notebook (Summer is when I think of my best ideas so I have to be on the ready at all times.)
